The next stop for the Tideswell Posada - after struggling through the snow...
...Mary and Joseph found a place to stay and find a bite to eat at Tindalls in Tideswell.
And this morning they were serenaded with Christmas carols from the Pot Market.
Do you know, I think it might be nearly Christmas...
I know it's only August, but Clare Rayner has launched a new campaign - Celebrate an Independent Christmas. This is calling on local retailers to create 'Christmas Shopping Crawls' in their local communities. The campaign will run from 12 November 2012, for the six weeks running up to Christmas Day.
Buying from local independent shops gets you a unique and personal experience, and doesn't have to be any more expensive – why not pledge this year to spend a proportion of your Christmas budget, whether on gift and food shopping, partying or pampering, with local, independent businesses.

Peak Volumes has joined Retail Inspector, the independent retail network. This is a social networking site designed specifically for independent retailers, in order to help local and independent retailers compete with the larger 'faceless' retail businesses, with an aim to stop all high streets looking exactly the same as each other.
As a local retailer we work hard to provide something that's a bit different – help us to keep doing that by supporting your local independent shops. Perhaps pledge to buy one thing from a local independent retailer every week. It all adds up!
