This year the streets will again be lined with over 65 independent food related stalls, offering unique treats and gifts, whilst the whole village will be entertained by an array of music and street activity, creating a fabulous traditional village festival atmosphere.
Tideswell parish Church, the Cathedral of the Peak, will be also hosting various music events including the Tideswell Singers and the Tideswell band, whilst children and adults alike will find exciting activities to do in the Community Kitchen Garden. In addition Tideswell School of Food will be opening its doors to further entertain visitors with cooking demonstrations, wine tasting and tours of the building.
Suzanne Elvidge, part of the organising team and co-owner of the Peak Volumes bookshop in Tideswell states “We are really excited about this year's food festival, and are so pleased to see how it has grown over the four years. This year promises to be another glorious day out for all the family, with fabulous food, great entertainment and a wonderful atmosphere, all set in a beautiful part of the Peak District.”
The festival is unique in the fact it is run entirely by the village volunteers- even the car parks will be run by the local Scout and Cup groups, so visitors will truly be treated to a village food extravaganza.
