There will be more than 60 stalls spread throughout the streets of the beautiful village of Tideswell. These will include local food and drink stalls offering a fantastic range of artisan food products, hot and cold food snacks, cakes, drinks, herbs and spices, from Saint Basil Olive Grove olive oils and soaps to Litton Larder's amazing puds, and from the Derbyshire Winery to Hartington Creamery cheese. There will also be a selection of craft and homeware stalls, such as Brindley Garden Products, selling an array of wonderful products.
But as well as the stalls, Tideswell has its own wonderful food shops too, including fresh fruit and veg from Peaches, cheese, milk, dairy products local produce at the Peak District Dairy Shop, The Cherry Tree for sandwiches, salads, cakes and savories, and the Post Office and General Stores for food and drinks.On Saturday, Carol at Tindall's bakery and delicatessen will be giving tours of the bakery, and NT Gibbs, the butcher's shop, will be giving away free tasters of their award-winning sausages. And even Peak Volumes is in on the act, with a window display of gardening, food and cooking.
What else is on? There will be tours of the Community Kitchen Garden, with activities for children including face-painting and treasure hunts. Hattersley Wines will be running a wine tasting at the School of Food, which will also be home to cookery demonstrations. And sStreet entertainments will include Maynard Flip Flap, described as 'daft as a brush'!
